Surgeon General Endorses Community Water Fluoridation

Filed under: Uncategorized — tntadmin @ 2:48 pm

From the American Dental Association: U.S. Surgeon General Regina Benjamin, M.D., April 22 officially endorsed community water fluoridation as “one of the most effective choices communities can make to prevent health problems while actually improving the oral health of their citizens.”

The water supply in most parts of New Castle County, Delaware is optimally fluoridated, but some children do not have access to fluoridated water. Dr Mike’s children drink well water and therefore take fluoride supplements, which can be prescribed by a dentist or physician. Also, it’s important for children to drink tap water when possible as some bottled water does not have optimal levels of fluoride.

Dr. Peggy Makes Beautiful Permanent Crowns for Dr. Mike!

Filed under: Uncategorized — tntadmin @ 10:13 pm

Dr. Peggy made two beautiful permanent crowns for Dr Mike, whose upper right central and lateral incisors were broken playing racquetball. Except for his hair, you could almost mistake him for Tom Cruise! Great job Peggy and great job Jimmie at Burdox Dental Lab.

Needless to say, Dr Mike now wears a mouth guard for racquetball and wishes that he had all along (although virtually no one playing racquetball wears a mouth guard). Dr Mike is now a missionary for mouth guards, telling his racquetball buddies about the benefits of protecting your teeth while playing.
