One of our favorite people is Dr. Jung Kim, an outstanding endodontist who did his postgraduate endodontic training with Dr. Pat at Penn. All this time, we thought he was just an excellent specialist — but he’s also an accomplished surfer. Here he is recently mastering the waves of Puerto Rico. Way to go, Surfer Boy!
On January 25, Kira and Leah competed at the Shore Classic Gymnastics Meet on Georgetown, Delaware. In Level 2, Leah got a medal in every event, including 2nd place in vault. In Level 3, Kira did a marvelous job on the uneven bars, receiving an 8.25 in that event. Here is Leah with her medals. Congratulations girls!
Michael H. is a 4th-generation Wahl Family Dentistry patient who recently came in for his first visit. He was a SUPER patient and enjoyed Dr. Mike’s juggling, as Dr. Mike did for his mom (Michele H.) when she was a youngster.
Here is Michael with our hygienist Sue, who is also Michele’s hygienist. His great-grandfather was Dr. Mervin’s patient, and he was a wonderful man who would often bring delicious pickles for the Wahl family.
Everyone knows that smoking leads to health and mortality problems and premature aging. Now there is photographic evidence that it harms your looks. A study out of Case Medical Center in Cleveland showed that in identical twins, those who smoked for a greater number of years had more wrinkles, crows-feet, and other signs of aging. So if you smoke, the sooner you quit, the fewer signs of aging you will show.
Here is the link to the New York Times story about the study and to a quiz you can take showing some of the identical twins.
