Katarina Lucardie is an 11-year-old middle school student who is totally bald from alopecia areata. She has been wearing a wig to school for many years, but the wig irritated her scalp so she wanted to stop wearing her wig but didn’t know how to tell her classmates. She made a short documentary with her teachers to play for her classmates, who asked questions of her afterward. Many students cried while watching the documentary. The whole class is very supportive of her and many have told her she looks even better without her wig.
